The Heartland CGS Region was formed in 2013 in order to more directly serve the Catholic Diocese of Wichita. It worked closely with both the Office of Faith Formation and the Catholic Schools Office to provide more opportunities for catechist formation in the method of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.

A new board was elected in 2020 and wants to take the time to hear from the people it serves. Listening sessions have been scheduled to hear the needs, challenges, hopes and concerns of the region. Everyone is invited – current catechists, past catechists, parents who would like their children to participate in CGS, interested priests, DREs, other parish staff, EVERYONE!

Three live listening session have been scheduled in large spaces to safely include as many people as possible and one will be available via Zoom for those wanting to participate virtually. Registration is highly encourage to ensure that numbers do not exceed capacity. The Zoom link will be sent to those who have registered for the virtual Listening Session.
